Theatre-In-Education
In the 1990s, Richard's work included a numbert of Theatre-In-Education projects in both primary and secondary schools. This work has subsequently proved valuable working both in theatre for young people as well as for work in the corporate sector and has helped for the basis for further developments in experiential learning.
Work has been primarily for The Playhouse, Language Alive, Catalyst, Women and Theatre, Birmingham Rep and Nottingham Playhouse. Projectshave included Pharoah's Footsteps, Bullying, HIV education, Teenage Pregnancy, Shakespeare Workshops and Literacy.
New Writing Workshops
Extensive work on script development including The Writing House (Theatre Absolute), Birmingham Rep (Numerous new play developments) Stagecoach, Transmissions (Birmingham Rep playwriting scheme for young writers), Birmingham University MA Playwriting Course, BBC Radio 4 "Plays in Progress" (Pebble Mill Lunchtime Readings) 1157 Performance Group and the Worcester Swan.
ADR Work
In addition to widespread voice-over work, Richard has also been used as an ADR artist. He regularly voiced for Daziel and Pascoe - everything from Helicopter pilots to people being kicked to death.
Technical Experience
Richard has developed his understanding of the technical side of production by working in a technical capacity when the oportunity has been available. As well as regularly taking care of the technical side of productions for Dramatic Solutions, he regularly films judo for television and DVDs for Fighting Films. He is also competent as a sound recordist and able to edit in Final Cut Pro (proficient) Avid and Premiere Pro.
